Then we have been introduced into the works of city partnerships to get to know more how its functioning and short German language course. After one week I have been introduced at my work programs place and gives me the short introduction and orientation in Hamburg botanical garden.
Hamburg botanical garden is the largest and most diverse botanical garden in Hamburg located in Klein Flottbek district. The garden contains different plants species from different climates and ecosystems including tropical, subtropical, Mediterranean, arid and semi-arid regions. During my training I was able to study more about development and management of botanical garden and other protected areas in urban environment.

OBJECTIVES
A. Development and management of botanical garden
In this program at the botanical garden I learned more about
➢ Conservation of plant species including endangered plant species in the botanical garden, where I learned more about plant care and plant protection through different ways example use of greenhouses for keeping plant healthier due to change of weather, secondly how to use biological pest control, third how to increase plant diversity through plant cutting for cultivation purpose, weeding, and how to prepare seeds for seed germinations.
➢I learned in how to manage protected areas in urban environment for green sustainable cities
➢ I learned in how to develop different programs for the education and public / community engagement at the botanical garden and other protected areas in urban environment where by
• Schools programs, example different schools come to Hamburg botanical garden for learning purpose
• Guided tour through botanical garden
• Special event as part of community engagement example apple day event in Hamburg botanical garden, in Tanzania also we might prepare special events like friend of botanical garden, anniversary of botanical garden and plant health day.
➢ I learned in how to develop the botanical garden to be recreation and relaxation place for public through creating a well-designed garden, planting attractive plants like flowers, instructions and well-organized areas in the botanica garden, creating pathways, water fountains and water streams in the botanical garden.
➢ I learned in how to manage resources in the botanical garden where by botanical gardens needs to have efficient financial system, human resource and natural resources management through establishing clear budgets, fundraising strategies, partnerships and volunteering programs example in Hamburg BG the retired people have an opportunity to volunteer at the garden.

B. Management, Conservation and protection of natural habitants
I was able to study in how to manage, conserve, and protect the natural habitant with Loki schimidt foundation where I learned more about
➢ Conservation of wetland areas in urban environment where they were using different ways to manage and conserve the wetland
▪ Pollution control example removal all trashes in wetland areas because its dangerous for the organisms
▪ Establishment of protected zone by using green/tree fencing also by doing so their preventing harmful activities near the areas
▪ Removal of invasive species, where by all non-native plants and animals are removed because it disturbs the wetland ecosystems and threatened native biodiversity
▪ Community involvement and education where LOKI SCHMIDT FOUNDATION, were creating programs for different environmental and non-environmental organizations/companies to participate in cleaning, cutting too much glasses and branches as well as removal of invasive species in the protected areas
▪ Example Inno games and Green planet companies
